I think it's a good thing for a completely different reason.
Nintendo will now throw 100% of their effort into Wii U, whereas if it'd been a runaway success out of the gates, they would have been a lot more complacent. I think this will lead to better Nintendo games on the Wii U.
Just got Pikmin 3 this week and I have to say, it has taken me back, to how I felt playing GameCube games. For me, that is only a good thing. Pikmin is one of my favourite Nintendo games, and to see Pikmin 3 being pretty much everything I wanted from a sequel has made the wait more than worthwhile.
I can't wait to see what magic Nintendo are going to conjure bringing Wii U back to the mass market.
