No. Not fundamentally, only practically. Move was pretty awesome, especially in FPS games, it just wasn't supported very much.
If you think about it, that's also kind of silly to say about Kinect, as there were demographics that were very happy with it.
Perhaps you meant to say they were useless relative to you but that obviously is not the same thing as "fundamentally".
