yes i am a ps2 owner too (actually bought 3 as two of them died) and now i bought a Wii. I'm waiting for the PS3 price to drop below $300 and i'll buy one (provide that there are some very good games out by that time)
i think what the current Wii : PS3 ratio means is..
If Sony managed to keep a large no of 3rd party game developers for another 12 months or so, then PS3 can and will come back. But PS3 will NOT be dominating like PS/PS2 and most probably won't win this console war.
And it will be a really tough battle for Sony when they release PS4.
