"And everybody knows what to expect for PS3 so if you want to play old classics you could just find yourself a PS2"

No, because :

- Some of the ps2 titles I've mentioned are clearly better in their ps3 classic iteration. Framerate, clipping, aliasing and other shit have been fixed. (We all know SOTC needed it a lot). Plus try to play ps2 OG games with a ps2 linked to your HD screen and come back to told me if it's still a good idea in your mind. Next what ? Maybe I should also keep a smaller, old screen next to my hd TV just to play ps2 games ?

- Why should I keep a ps2 next to my ps3 when my ps3 is supposed First the ps3 isn't backward compatible (wich was big fail from Sony) and now people tell me to keep a ps2 next to my ps3 ? LOL.

- I've already bought a lot of ps2 OG titles to play them on ps2, guess what ? A lot of game crashed in game or have some sound problem. Digital copies are the best way to go for those "old" games. I'm not that found of hard copies.

"Second, you want Sony to pay for this and/or you want publishers to give up a source of income going forward.  If Sony were to pay for every download going forward, not only would they be losing their share of the profit, they'd be spending money.  As for companies like Square, no, they're not going to give up profit for nothing, so Sony would have to compensate them.  Since you're talking about ALL PS1 games, that's a HUGE amount of money."

What source of income ? We do not know the numbers. What I am sure of is that studios does not need the money coming from it.

Everyone on the video games industry complain about psn sales. I spoke about Journey, but not only indies are disapointed about psn sales. Kojima had also stated that psn sales are very low and how he disapointed about zone of the enders HD collection sales.
