Now that both the Wii U and Vita have been taken off shelves at Wamart, are they both just as equally doomed?

I was at a wal-mart this past weekend and the store shelves were packed with WiiU's and Vita's and their games. The store only had one 3DS and a few DS versions, seemed odd considereing most times they have 40+ units. This was in Ontario.
