IF you can stand backtracking two generations in visuals and game design (and not everybody can) grab a few PSOne Classics. They're about $6-10 a pop.
Just going off those two titles I guess you're (another) action-survival-horror person. Here's what I've got in that.
Parasite Eve
Parasite Eve 2
Dino Crisis
Dino Crisis 2
Silent Hill
I haven't yet played the Dino Crisises or finished Silent Hill. Parasite Eve's visuals haven't aged too gracefully (it's almost 20 years old) and is a bit short. PE2 has a very long learning curve, but it feels rewarding by the end of it. Poke up a review or two to see if you're interested.
