You do not know the half of developers!
I've struggled with more than a few telling me their code is fine. Come to find out, their code sucks! And you can't just tell them that. You have to go through their code and find every friggin error in it and prove to them that their code sucks. And then, they're all nice to you after that. But ask them to actually sift through their own code and fix it, and you the worlds biggest asshole.
