This is gaming journalist... It doesn't count. They aren't proper journalists. But in answer to your question, in this case? Absolutely. The guys concerned are a pair of dickheads. 

So I guess that if it doesn't count we can call everyone with enough likes a gaming journalist if he/she himself proclaims so, right?

 

And there aren't exceptions to the rule in Journalism. Or else, you'd have to condone similar situations.
