So include an expensive peripheral to do a feature that was already possible without it...seems like a good idea.

Well, Kinect does more right.  It recognize the controller and the person holding the controller.  It automatically setup the controller based on your profile.  It migth also setup the controller based on you and the game you are playing.  So every time you play an FPS game it automatically grab those settings but then you might play COD with different settings and it customize the game based on that.  Give the controller to someone else and if their profile is on your console or maybe even in the cloud, bam its like you are playing at home.

What it appers to me is that MS is putting a lot of time and thought into Kinect for games and even for non game type scenerios with navigation and voice.  the reason Kinect is with every X1 because its MS way to separate the X1 from all other competition and devices that just play games.

The controller thing is a little feature but if MS can continue to bring little features that make you feel this is something last gen did not offer, the experience as a whole could be a killer app.

Right now, I see more of these type of features coming out from MS than Sony.  It appears every week you hear a little bit more how Kinect improves the overall experience of the console.  Hofully MS has some demos of how Kinect can do that within games to make the extra hondo worth the price for the system.

are you joking hear, isnt the light on the ps4 controller so the ps4 camera can recognise it like the old ps3 move controller? you know, so it recognises the player, so you can play fps games like killzone did, how many fps kinnect games were their?

i still don't see why is has to be included
