The Vita needs a Go model because it's memory anemic. I can buy a 64 GB SD card for about half of what the 32 GB Vita cards go for, so Sony is insisting on four times the market value for memory.

You know, Nintendo might be "that toy company" in your market, but their digital sales have also exploded and account for large portions of software sold, allowing them to save on production and inventory costs. And it's because they don't do crap like charge four times the market value for memory.

So yeah. Vita with both a game slot and at least 32 GB built in, sold for maybe $270 Wifi/ $320 3G at most. An ergonomic slider design would be nice if it were better than what the PSP Go had, but basically the memory prices are choking the system to death, and Sony's going to have to float it with remote play.
