Smaller, cheaper, comes with a controller. That's all I can think of. With that kind of attach rate, that's exactly what it's being used for. I have a laptop+PS3 controller if I need that.

This is exactly what I use as well.  I guess it's good for those on a small budget.  I just thought there maybe be something more that I might've missed.
