Im guessing as a developers point of view that has worked on similar memory setups like what mobile have, that extra 1 gig is something you can use but will have to relinquish if the OS ask for it, this would be things like, if you alt tab out of the game to use the web browser or watch you tube, more than likely you will be able to ask for it back as soon as your game goes full screen again. Its not ideal but it certainly is workable and wouldnt expect just 1st parties to be using it.
