Yeah ... maybe.  I'd bet my sister's cat that it's not nearly that cut and dried.  Xbox isn't exactly known for having an open system, so we're still probably looking at an extensive process to even get a mod up on the service.  Probably a lot of restrictions, too, and perhaps even fees both for the mod developer and the people who want it.  It wouldn't surprise me if the mod itself had to be pushed through by the game's developers (good luck with that).  I have my doubts about many fan-made mods appearing on the XO.

On the other hand, if some of the very best did appear, that'd be pretty nifty.  It will never, ever get close to what the PC has, of course, but a selection of the top mods would only make games better.


Of course everything won't be as pretty as the article says. What I'm just saying is that it is an interesting move. Wheter it works or it's just plain a pain in the ass to submit mods...we'll see.

 

Of course, I would see pretty lame that "mods" come in the form of paid DLC.
