Wich at the time was a great idea, but nowadays we got constitutions and law for that.

If that is the purpose, out of curiosity. Which do you think is the better one?

Law seems to be more honest, accurate and clear with its meaning and based in the real world. It is created by the societies with representitves that are elected by the people. Its not perfect but its realistic and aims to be fair. It creates order without the need for dubious claims.

The means to do that in ancient times wasnt there, so religion was the right solution then. Threaten the people with something they fear to make them abide.
