This is a great way to replace a remote (not a controller).
I no longer will have to search for a remote. Just say TV on. or Xbox on. Then tell Kinect which channel to go to.
So yes i would prefer using Kinect over a TV remote. kind of surprised you are asking the question the way you are when this benifits outside of gaming and the dashboard.
