Well he is right as far as "vision" goes MS is look WAY ahead of everyone else with the XB1. It is more than a gaming machine and more like the center of your living room for all entertainment. It reminds me of the Vision Sony had with the PS3 just more advanced. I am just not sure if the "people" are ready to take that step and invest so much into it though. They are going to have to push HARD to make people see the value of giving up everything else to make the XB1 the center for all entertainment needs.

But if they do it will be AMAZING for them and the possibilities will be almost ENDLESS. Even as a Sony fan I hope it works out for them because they truly put a lot of thought into the XB1 and had a vision of the future in sight.

now that's a great Sony fan, you all watch him and take example lol :P

no but seriously that's pretty much it, its a hit or miss bet on that gen (and no even if they miss it won't be their last gen, because they have to win the living room to stay relevant as a software company as a whole)
now I don't think price will be the issue since it will go down over the life span of the console like anything else and they don't need to sell 50 million in the first 2 years. But I think relevance will be the issue, they have to prove that the XB1 is a relevant entertainement box not just a fancy gaming rig and.
It must become something new and revolutionary in people's mind (and I mean a broad audience not just gamers). and for that it mus shed some of its gaming console looks and feel and gain more of the TV entertainement taste. they can't have just an improved XBox 360, and I like to believe they know that, and that's why they chose XBox one as a name. They want a fresh start and a new direction in terms of living room entertainment. and some hardcore gamers hate it, but IMO it's the only future gaming has, either be universal with all kind of stuff from gimmicks to apps to media (TV,Movie music etc) to games for everybody, or become higly marginal and pretty much die. and MS doesn't have the option they need to go global with the XBox, the very long term existance of MS dpends on it, I'm convinced of it.
