Today Google announced their new streaming device.
Its pretty awesome. It can stream all video/web/music content from ANY, not just Android, but any smartphone/tablet/PC to your TV.
It only cost $35 too.
Already ordered mine.

Now I wonder if it will stream game content...

EDIT updated again...
Why do so many of you come in saying "this isn't new"... who the hell said it was?
It can stream your content (so long as its cloud based in google's services).
It can stream anythign from web via Chrome as well as directly from Play, Netflix and youtube.
It can work with Android, iOS, Win, Mac and ChromeOS.
It uses your wifi to connect to said devices and then handles the content directly from web so your device can do other things.
My only point is that it does this very simply for a very low cost.

Very good walk through of the device. Seems extremely simple and easy to use. Also reaffirms that literally anything on the chrome browser is cast to TV with ease... including free Hulu.

In fact, you can use your Chrome browser casting to allow you to play any media you have stored locally on your device. (probably to the extreme with Chromebooks where its technically only a browser)
