No, but some people, like me, may want or seek for different experiences on a handheld. And in this case, if I can have those games on my home console, I´d rather choose a handheld that provides me with different gameplay ideas, then, different games.
Of course, I just speak by myself. I know a lot of people who would love to continue playing their home console games on a handheld and for those, specially Ps fans, Vita is the thing to go. It´s a great device after all, but it may be not what every consumer wants.
This is something that happens with every console and every product. Heck, I even know people that are not interested in consoles anymore and only want to play games on a PC or on a tablet.
