And Republicans are any better? They would of let the same thing happen. Detroit was only about cars, it didn't diversify enough and now it suffers since the industry went.

detroit is the perfect microcosm of what democratic and union policies will do to a city/state/country over time, especially if they have total control for over 50 years, like detroit.
