I'm talking about the content in the article and the replies in the thread. The main issue a small handful of indies have is the inability to self-publish. They want a system where anyone can publish their own thing. If Oddworld Inhabitants could publish their own games on XBLA, Stranger's Wrath HD would be on there already. The "red tape and muddied communication" is based on what? Lanning? The guy who craps on whoever he isn't currently working with and has done so since the PS1 days? The FEZ guy bitching about patch fees? It's cute the way you let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch.
I never said or implied slowing down game development is a good thing. What I believe is a good thing though, as a gamer, is a platform where the crappiest games are not picked up by publishers and thus never see the light of day on my platform, and a pricing policy that ensures the games that do get released, are done so after extensive bug testing so that the future updates are minimal. MS recently changed this policy and now don't charge for updates. We'll wait and see how that goes.
I don't see anyone in this thread attacking you, but I do you see attacking many people in this thread from your first reply and on.
