I am not seeing anyone in this thread in "denial-mode". Your belief that a wide open system is better for gamers is just an opinion. Others might believe the opposite, because it prevents a slew of garbage from being released on the service. And they might not believe that an extremely small, handful of indie developers bitching is worth changing and allowing anyone to release something on XBLA. Especially when many of those handful complaining, have released great games on XBLA first or exclusive in general. The manner in which these people complain also explains why people shit on them. Wide open system? What are you talking about? I've said nothing about a wide open system. I have no clue where you got that from. Refining your process so that developers spend their time developing rather than jumping through hoops does not mean "a wide open system". The PS4 doesn't have a wide open system and no one is complaining about that. What are you even saying, that red tape and muddied communication is a good thing?
Honestly, I give up on this subject. Anyone who complains the least little bit gets attacked, even the whole of small game development gets attacked, which is bloody stupid. As someone who is into gaming for games, it kind of sickens me to see people turn against games for the sake of loyalty to a console.
This whole thing has left me in a state of shock.
