It's the Donner Party situation: do you starve to death, or eat an already dead human. If it's really down to that, eat the dead human. Desecrating the dead is unfortunate, but it's inconsequential against survival.
Zombies, however, aren't like that. They aren't desecrating the dead so much as committing murder of those still living. Again, desecrating the dead is a footnote after that. Look for alternatives and starve until someone dies. After that, cannibalizing already dead bodies in the name of survival is...acceptable.
