But do not try to make them look good, well made, appealing or interesting, because they're not. Hence probably one, beside the Otaku or all the guy close to it, nobody give a fuck about them and almost every gamers mock them. Hell, like I said earlier in this thread even japanese are ashame of those games. And I do not have problem with japanese game, nor RPG. I highly consider Kingdom hearts, Crono Trigger, and DQV and DQVIII. Only crappy games bother me. Unfortunetly, a lot of japanese game are crappy ones. Especially the JRPG that are coming to the vita lately. And what bother me the most is people trying to defend them like they're were good piece of taste. I mean, I like spending some time on fail compilation on youtube. But hell, I'll never try to make this "hobby" look good or "normal". I know this is weird, I know this is kind of dumb. I accept it and it never prevented (prevent?) me to enjoy it. Let's just be honest here and stop all those "It's just a matter of taste" autopilot statement. Edit : Rut' I'm not 27 yold. To be quite honest, it was quite obvious from your posts that you're neither 27, nor from UK. Well at least I hope that at 27 you'll have better common sense, and that people from UK actually spell better than you... But I guess that's a debate for other threads.
What baffles me is why did you purchase the PS Vita, if you consider the JRPG genre to be "crappy". The PSV is a successor to PSP that managed to amass the highest number of niche JRPGs ever. Besides the PSP was most popular in Japan, and following the same logic it was prudent to assume that PSV will have the biggest following in Japan as well, so thus games developed for it should complemente their biggest market. At least at first... And we can see that in games that were already released on PSV, or will be released in near future:
Soul Sacrifice, Toukiden, Ragnarok Odyssey, God Eater 2, Phantasy Star On-line 2, Freedom Wars, Persona 4: Golden, The Legend of Heroes games, Ys: Memories of Celceta, FF X/X-2 HD...
So according to you, the games I just listed are "turds"? And if Japanese are so ashamed of this games and consider them crap, why do they then keep on buying them? If I consider something crap, I definitely won't spend my money on it.
And if you want to play DQ, or KH games, why didn't you buy a 3DS then? You have both of those series on it. I for one am happy with my PSV. I like every game I bought, and I look forward to several games that will be out in next couple of months. Are there games I would like to see/play on Vita in future? Of course, but I can name as many "big franchaises" as I can name indies that I want to see on it. And I have no idea what AAA means to you, but I would assume it has a different meaning to me. It's stupid to expect that PSV games will have 8 digit budgets that are usually linked with AAA titles, but to say that games like Soul Sacrifice, Gravity Rush, LBP: Vita, Uncharted: GA, upcoming KZ, Tearaway "lack" the quallity and polish associated with AAA titles is a lie.
