Final Fantasy VI is great. Excellent story, awesome music, engrossing gameplay, great characters, and the best villain of all time, Kefka. The only game that came close was Chrono Trigger. Almost as great, but the characters were very slightly weaker. They didn't call the developers the Dream Team for nothing.
