They are still better.  Price is not the only factor that determines if something is better.   Is a low MSRP game better than a full priced game just because it's cheaper?

You can buy a good 60 GB SDD as a boot/OS drive for just $70 or a 128 GB SDD for just under $100.   Does that match the price advantage of mechanical HDD's?  No, of course not.  But can a mecahnical HDD match the performance of that SDD?  No, of course not.  You pay more for the improved performance and noise reduction.
