But as with every major shift in power, in a years time we will all be back to the same old same old forums and websites, picking at every last detail we can to find positives/negatives, xbox fans will find their home on certain sites where other fans settled and playstation fans will find theirs, thats how the internet has always been, consider it the generation migration. |
Great analysis. Glad to see that there are some people out there who are looking at this from a rather neutral point of view.
What I find very interesting in this respect is the sharp increase of postings by Xbox fans complaining about things like "the internet being flooded with Sony fans" ever since certain rather unpopular Xbox One announcements. There are people who are crying about the evil dumb masses of Sony fans / Microsoft haters in like every second posting, it's becoming ridiculous. They behave like some strange epidemic Sony virus has suddenly infected the whole world, turning harmless gamers into Sony-controlled zombies who are constantly after the few remaining brave men from the resistance (like themselves). And of course, as everyone knows, zombies are brainless and dumb, you cannot talk reasonable to then, so they don't even try. Well, maybe they even tried, but even telling them that they're dumb didn't convince them, which just proves how dumb, biased and childish they are.
But in reality, it's not some secret Sony conspiracy, it was mainly just a change in Xbox One / PS4 prefence, a change that was as rapid as it will be temporary. One day, the situation will probably be just the other way around again, for Sony fans are just the same, they're just currently not in the same overly defensive situation.
