Let me take a minute to point out your mistakes.
Being a fan IS personal preference, as such your view of the way the forums are going IS BASED ON PERSONAL PREFERENCE.

What if, just what if, he talked to other xbox fans and they agreed with him that many of them are annoyed? I honestly wouldn't be surprised. I'm a Nintendo fan and I was annoyed at how the xbox one was treated by the internet at large.

It stil does not make it a fact. The word "fact" is misused all the time especially in forums and this is one of those cases.
E.g. There are more Sony fans than MS fans on VGC: fact
Wii has sold more than Ps3 and xb360: fact
Sony fans are annoying (according to MS fans) : opinion
