Early in a generation is when you can "re set" the scales because gamers are more open to change and try new IPs or give competitive IP a shot. By conceding at least a year to FIFA I think Konami have done a lot of work to ensure EA's football game dominance for next generation. Which is a shame as worry will lead to stagnation after a dynamic generation where EA went back and overhauled FIFA which led to overtaking PES.
