Absolutely. I'd love nothing better than a Nintendo console that matched the other two consoles in performance. But Iwata and the rest of the company are too traumatized by the Gamecube, and too mesmerized by the money and "paradigm shift" talk around the Wii, to do another console like that again. Can't really blame them, considering the 5:1 sales difference between the two. Still sucks, though.
Alternately, if they'd just released the current console without the tablet for $200 or so that would've also been a compelling purchase.
