Exactly I do only know what is readily available to the public about next gen's hardware. However if you understand GPU architecture at even a rudementary level, you will be able to predict how much stronger the PS4 is than the Xbox One. I just have to say two things:
1) Obviously I may not be 100% correct to a decimal point, but it is obvious that the PS4 is well above 50% stronger than the X1. It is between 55-100% more power.
2) Before righting everything someone says off, have you ever considered reading it and making an informed response (Probably not since this is VGchartz)? The numbers add up and come from, as you said: "What is readily available to the public." So then since it is, look it up and say something once you can. But just saying "I don't get it, so theirs no way he can too!" is childish.

Funny, i don't remember saying that i didn't get it. Generally if your going to put something in qoutes, you fill that space with something they actually said.
What i said was that neither Sony nor M$ have fully disclosed the architecture of their systems. Because this information is not available, you and Captain Tom are only comparing one POSSIBLE element of the system and making your "55-100%" theories. IF you and Tom had the knowledge and experience that you claim to have, you would know that there are dozens of ways that the systems could be hamstrung by other compnents that could completely make this whole argument a waste of time. SO, here's my point more clearly for you : NO ONE KNOWS THE SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE YET, SO THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW IF EITHER SYSTEM IS MORE POWERFUL YET.
Sorry, i felt if is said it louder that you would get what i was saying more clearly, but probably not.

But we do know the architecture of the PS4 as Cerny has given more talks on it than I can keep up with, and again we have heard multiple reports on the X1 from various devs/sources so effectively we do know what's inside it.
Look I get where you are coming from. You are saying we don't know 100% so why waste our time. But the fact is we know 99% of what is in the PS4 and a really good idea of what is in the Xbox One. So (AGAIN) instead of saying "We don't know, go away," perhaps you should ADD TO THE CONVERSATION.
What can you speculate (backed up by evidence), that would confirm or go against what the OP said?

What's funny is that based on the mostly muddled info that is out there, i agree with you both that the PS4 is or will have a more powerful GPU. The silly part to me knows that if one or 2 small other components don't mexh with the underlying power of the GPU, none of the potential power will be realised. So, like yourselves, i choose to have an opinion that states - lets wait and see. For the sake of all gaming, i hope both have similar power. This might be the last big generation of console gaming and we can only hope the best games come out of it for either system.
