Can someone fill in the details here because 20 years for gun shots without even hurting a person doesn't sound like a sentence given on this planet.

apparently firing a gun standing your ground against a person that even said they were going to kill her  weighs heavier than actually shooting and killing someone.  so next time if you feel someone is a threat in florida at least shoot them in their big toe.  then again attempted murder might be  a bigger sentence than murder.  i wonder if florida gang bangers can do drive bys and just run around killing their rivals using stand your ground.  because unlike gz case the people they would be killing would actually kill them.

For God's sake, read the story! She got past her husband into the garage, got into her car, retrieved a gun, came back in the house, was pointing the gun at him, then discharged the weapon. This was from her testimony and his! There wasn't evidence to support any need for self defense at the time she fired, that's the problem. Is this stuff really this hard to grasp, or do people just make the first emotional, knee-jerk reaction that comes to mind and stick to it? My first reaction to the Zimmerman trial was that he was guilty (based on seeing it on CNN), until I researched and looked at the evidence about a week later. My first reaction to this story was that she should have gotten off, but then I went and read the actual facts in the case. If you bypass media sensationalism and actually read the facts, maybe you can make an informed decision from which to form an opinion.
