My last thought on this is, no matter what, it's a terrible tragedy that Trayvon died. There's no vast conspiracy against the black population here, there was just no legitimate case against Zimmerman to rule out reasonable doubt. No matter what your personal opinion, the lives of Trayvon's family have been changed forever, as has the life of George and his family. I have no doubt that Zimmerman will not feel safe walking the streets for quite some time, that he will deal with feelings of guilt over this for the rest of his life, and that Trayvon's family is going through terrible, unthinkable grief. There are no winners in this, it's a tragedy plain and simple. It's time for the nation to move past finger-pointing and blame and move towards healing. We should all treat each other with dignity and respect, regardless of skin color or nationality.
