I am sure that we will disagree here but they were thought to be the future method of gaming. That never occured this gen, and next-gen they are still going to be an add on, or a sub-genre.
What I mean is that we thought EVERY game would have motion controls. Instead we got a lot of crappy games for Kinect and Move, and then some move add-on controls (Killzone 3, etc).
Once the Wii fad died out the motion was not key to a game. Yes Just Dance sold like crazy but I mean to say that Motion Gaming was thought to be central going forward. Realistically it is not.
