Just because somebody is following you doesn't give you the right to jump on them and beat them senseless. We can say all say that if Zimmerman had stayed in the car this wouldn't have happened, and while that may be true, that goes both ways, if Trayvon had not committed aggravated assault (the only actual, provable crime that evening), we also would not be having this discussion. Both made a mistake, but by the laws on the books, this should not have been brought to court at all.
