To prove the title of this thread, and write a compeeling and credible opinion, the OP needed to have access to and fully understand both system's hardware and working environments and being able to justify mathematically what makes a system better than the other.

This thread shortened sounds like this:

"Ok, lets see what wikipedia says about a single component of this entire hardware, the GPU. Nothing else weights any significant ammount of importance to be considered, because: internet gaming forums."

"See ? This numbers bigger in here, smaller in there. There is some yockels, and fowckelrs, some sneivlers too, thats it. 2x more graphics."

Wikipedia?  It wasn't used once.  I also have a lot of experience with the 7000 series and can back up everything he says.  If you don't understand, then don't talk.  Just because you don't, doesn't mean everyone doesn't...
