The Trail of Tears is a stain of blood on our nation's history. It was... just beyond tragic what happened. Andrew Jackson and some others in power at the time were bastards. I think it's bullshit that he gets his picture on the $20 bill.
I feel like the least we could do is give the Natives their reservations where they can live freely and don't have to abide by our laws, since their civilization LONG pre-dates ours.
Not entirely sure it helps them to have a monopoly on gambling casinos, and be given so much money, as others in this thread have pointed out. Regardless... reservations are in fact reparations, and it may not be fair, or just, but neither is life. It's not the government's role to dole out what's "fair", and even if it were, it's impossible to ever be completely fair to everyone anyways.
