omg, the camera ... zooming in and out and in and out and going right, left, going fast, slow, zooming ... holy shit ... thats so stupid ... actually i like Killer Instinct a lot, but the camera movement is too extreme.
But i played no beat-em-up since more than a decade, i fear thats kind of normal nowadays -.-

edit:

or when Jago is making his super-wind-kick or whatever, the camera is soooo long focused on him, how is the Glacius player being able to react to it ... either pressing block all the time or not at all. But with Glacius ice lance with limited range (at least in the old KI games^^) - so rather a melee skill - you have to have such a good timing. But in this game, you will not see both characters again until Jago hits Glacius.

That's how it was back in the old days.  Gamers were impressed by the zooming characters in SNK's fighting games and Killer Instint.  I remember being able to back up so far in Killer Instint arcade version that both characters were rather tiny.  The camera would comply.  Hopefully, there's an option to turn the zooming off.  I think (with think being the key word) that was an option in the N64 version of KI: Gold.

I cant remember there was soooo much camera movement in old KI. I especially mean from 1:01 to 1:05. every time glacius makes his uppercut its zooming in and out like crazy.

In KI Gold you could move quite far from each other, than the chars were quite small - thats correct. And thats not the bad thing. Zooming in and out when characters are moving towards each other or away from each other is fine, but here its too much. and also it is not only zooming camera, but also rotating camera.
