He could have been pissed because some "creepy ass cracker" was following him. A lot of kids that age would be more angry than frightened at being followed. I was followed by an old guy when I was about Martin's age because he was suspicious of me being in his neighborhood at night, and I sure wasn't scared of him. I was pretty ticked, though. Ultimately, he just told me that he'd called the cops on me, but if he had been more confrontational I probably would have been angry enough (and stupid enough) to push back. The idea that he might have had a gun would never have occurred to me. And then he could have punched Zimmerman because, well... he was pissed. He might have run because he wanted to get the drop on him or to get a better idea of who he was dealing with. When he saw that Zimmerman wasn't particularly intimidating, he might have been emboldened to teach him a lesson. I mean, anything might have happened, but it's all just speculation at this point. "Common sense" doesn't cut it. |
You do know Zimmerman was driving, right?
But Zimmerman actually ran after Martin when he called he cops. Zimmerman was the only one who acted without fear he actually wanted to make sure " these assholes don't get away" and I guest he did.
