Yah because you are unpluging your USB camera from your PC or even a laptop when you are not using it right? Or the one on your cell phone/tablet?
I do not see what it would be a big deal with Kinect, esp. if you can turn it off and achieve the exact same thing than any PC/Phone/Tablet or other device (and even the EyeToy on Playstation).

I actually find it funny that the majority of people complaining about it (Playstation fans) have actually no problem with all these devices I listed but find it problematic on the Xbox One (a device that they certainly will not own anyway...) And even for the few that are actually really interested into the Xbox One, again, why is it a big deal with the console but not with your smartphone, PC, tablets etc... (even TVs got camera now...)

The only possible thing that may turn this into a big deal is a conspiracy theory about the big evil Microsoft... and well... As I said, conspiracy theory... No big deal :)

I dont have a webcam on my computer, and if I get one I can unplug it and still use my computer.

My camera is built into my phone.

EyeToy isnt a requirement.

Kinect isnt built in. It has to be connected. The One would work just fine without it plugged in.

Stop the damage control. Stop the deflection. Its petty and annoying. If you (or others) have nothing worthwhile to say, then dont say anything.

You should stop telling people to do not say anything just because you created the thread or because they are not directly anwering your questions. It is not because you do not like our replies or expect only the ones who have an issue with Kinect being always plug-in to participate that we do not have right to counter your points with ours. You want to state the "problem" you are mentionning in your OP as a fact for everybody and then want anwsers to that. Well before to anwser your question we need to all be on the same page, right? Let us talk and participate or I will report you (me or someone else).

Now, when you said that you can unplug your PC USB Camera, that your phone has a built-in one, etc... It is true but it does not change anything we the fact that you DO NOT unplug them even if you can. So back to the question; what is the big deal with Kinect? You are telling us that it is a problem but are not actually providing any viable reason why and the question from Tuscaniman99 or other people is very valid. Other than complaining for complaining; just enlight us on why is it such a big deal?
