I wouldn't be surprised someone will eventually make something to fake a connected Kinect. Someones probably gonna attempt the most basic thing. Cut the cord and leave the port plugged in. People prefer to have options and not forced things. I see Kinect like Apple's news stand app not removable from the pages (till IOS 7). I think there be less hate towards it if Kinect was able to play every type of game out there with 100% usefulness or no problems. I frankly don't care about voice controls. No matter how good they say they are, they aren't. Siri is crap, when it fouls up just because you have background noise (fan, AC etc.). Or can't understand you at normal speaking speed.
