Whut? I guess I'm not experienced with 30 years of gaming every single day? You would not recommend it? I hated the co-op difficulty in NSMBWii and DKCR, this one was just right. And now you're complaining it's too easy when you use the acorn power up. That's like complaining Dark souls is too easy when you follow the Wiki. It's there as a last resort not to get completely stuck.
The game is not too easy, we both ended with 99 continues and still haven't finished all superstar road levels. Plus we had to resort to a guide a few times to find out where the last few coins were.
It seems you mostly played through it single player, using power ups and didn't complete the game.

After reading your DKC3D review I guess we better steer clear of that one. (don't have a 3DS anyway and no local co-op)

As stated above, if that is the case then go complain on every review about not completing every achievement/Trophy as they aslo add difficulty and prolongue the game.  Or go complain that someone hasnt finished Skyrim because it takes 1000s of hours to 100% complete it.  Or go complain about pokemon because someone didnt catch every single pokemon.  This list goes on and on.

Nah just don't call it unbiased. You review from a hardcore singleplayer perspective, that's not unbiased.
But I haven't been following the unbiased review series I admit, not sure what it is all about. I just think 7.5 for co-op is a bit low since it's the best shared screen 2D platformer co-op we have played so far. The first one after LBP that stayed consistently fun and that we could complete all the way in co-op.
