Whut? I guess I'm not experienced with 30 years of gaming every single day? You would not recommend it? I hated the co-op difficulty in NSMBWii and DKCR, this one was just right. And now you're complaining it's too easy when you use the acorn power up. That's like complaining Dark souls is too easy when you follow the Wiki. It's there as a last resort not to get completely stuck.
The game is not too easy, we both ended with 99 continues and still haven't finished all superstar road levels. Plus we had to resort to a guide a few times to find out where the last few coins were.
It seems you mostly played through it single player, using power ups and didn't complete the game.
After reading your DKC3D review I guess we better steer clear of that one. (don't have a 3DS anyway and no local co-op)
