Ah 2010, my favorite year for games this generation, actually of all time to be honest. I loved God of War III, Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, God of War: Ghost of Sparta and I really liked Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain, Limbo and Splinter Cell: Conviction. Also I liked Bayonetta, Darksiders, Dante's Inferno, Halo: Reach & Enslaved.
I'm going to with God of War III, a.k.a. the most perfect hack n' slash game ever made. It's a once in a generation game. I don't think anything else in the genre will ever come close to its 93% average score and 6+ million sales, unless God of War IV is a return to form and then some which I'm unsure about after the bitterly disappointing GoW: Ascension (still a good game though).
