@willem
not saying it will improve the gameplay for core gamers who don't care.... but you do realize those are not the only people that enjoy gaming.... some of us want the gimmick because it's fun..... and the casual dig it to....

bottom line if it brings 1 or 2% more sales without a lot of overhead it is worth it for 3rd parties.... knowing everyone has one will give them more chance to captivate those X extra percent of sales... it is that simple....

in games like forza horizon for example I could see the voice command be used for GPS route search, for the radio to skip tracks or channel while not getting in the menu or letting go of the directional stick....

but you do realize there is more to gaming than FPS and racers ????

why not make AAA Kinect titles.... you might not like them but some people do.... I use to love party games like kung fu chaos on XB I'm sure they could come up with excellent party games with some Kinect integration or even Kinect only....

could see many application in RPG also.... you could use it to actually read your dialogue answers instead of lamely clicking a button.... you could also have all new ways to do magic calling out spells and all.... you could also cut the hassle of navigating big inventories, or looking for item creation blue prints, or even in turned based RPG call out tactics and actions in combat.....

you could have great action shooters like time crisis or time cop arcade use to be.....

there are millions of things that can be done to have a different less bland gaming experience or experience as a whole.....

some will like it other wont.... but the only way to make it relevant to dev is to enable them to have a potential user base big enough to generate extra profit.... this will never be possible without it bundled.... here is the real thing we are not saying it will work out like that.... but one thing for sure is, if it is not bundled there is absolutely no chance for it to ever be used properly..... so I'd sign up for a maybe rather than a no no any day....
