Charged, not changed and it's nothing of the sorts, it's a mix of low-end/mid-range hardware where the majority of it's technology was invented first on the PC for PC gamers and not invented for the consoles, AMD and Sony made some minor changes but on the whole it's not that different and certainly nothing that's a game changer.

Taking this line: "The hardware has to grow over time. That’s why I refer to it as a super-charged PC architecture – there’s more in it than what you find in a PC."

He makes it out as if the PS4's hardware is going to improve over time and that it's better than the PC, simply not the case in the real world, you can't upgrade *any* of the hardware except the Hard Drive.

And yes you are right, HDTV's are 1080P or lower, but 4k is available, today.
It just hammers in the point that the consoles are already a Generation behind the PC. :P

I disagree...

The PS4 architecture didn't exist in PC yet... the GPU part will come only in GCN 2.0 in 2014 or more... there is no architecture like PS4 in PC and I think it will never have.

No... he didn't makes it out as if the PS4's hardware is going to improve over time... he said the PS4 use of the hardware will improve over time with developers found and learning more features... and yeah in terms of architecture for games development it is better than PC... not mor powerful (that's the difference here... he never said more powerful lol).

In terms of architecture PS4 is ahead PC... when PC receive the new features found in PS4 we can talk about that... in any case PC will surpass PS4 in terms of architecture but that not happen yet... AMD need to release the GCN 2.0, etc.

Again... he not said that PS4 is more powerful than PCs... it is more advanced architecture for games than PC.

I agree with Cerny.

PS. The confusion about changed and charged was my mistake... sorry
