well I don't see it an office
but in conference rooms
from experience it would be way better (with the right apps) for a lower price than most regular company conference rooms.... most of them just have voice conference device that are usually very expensive and require a phone line.... and you have paperboards that are unpractical.... and usually the old computer that didn't die yet hooked up to a video projector with no sound on a screen that got yellow over time....
here you need a TV a box and you are good to go for fullHD wide angle video conferences between the new York and LA office...
with office apps and SkyDrive you can do nice presentation just as before just better or differently than with that old clicker or yelling next to the intern....
I mean at that price with the right apps I don't see how anybody can argue it's a bad idea beside not understanding that a dedicated PC even aimed at gaming first couldn't be used for other things because it's cheap....
and the example of the 30 year business man is silly.... first he is closer to retirement than the young guy that just came in.... but on top of that I can extend that to pretty much any new tech.... 20 years ago internet didn't exist, lots of CRM software didn't exist either, 10 years ago smartphones didn't exist etc.... people have to adapt or they are out it's just a reality....
and office beside word maybe got way better with every iteration since I have been using it... excel has never been as deep and powerful as now.... powerpoint is just getting better and better, outlook also, access too, not sure about the rest but then again on a word processor you can only go so far....
