Americans don't have half the cultural loyalties as Japan. hence PS1 and PS2 domination in America. 360 was just cheaper and played the same games. Japanese culture perception was a direct influence on 360 sales. I mean from 05-08, MS tried there, they really did. BS on your last paragraph. Japan spoke, nothing more. I don't live there and neither do you, so i wouldn't lean on them for a crutch because you live on 360 turf. |
I actually played with quite a few japanese people online from time to time. That is the nice thing about having a world wide user base: There are people to play with at all hours of the day, on all games! I made friends in England, France, and Germany too.
Oh and the 360 was not very compelling console for a japanese gamer. JRPG's asside, there were just as many "Japanese" games on PS3 as there were on 360. Difference is the 360 required LIVE (Which Japanese gamers didn't want to pay for), it had massive failure issues which were a NIGHTMARE to deal with in Japan, and then you have things like MGS4 and FFXIII coming in the future. The Japanese gamer would buy a 360 if it was truly a better choice for them. It wasn't.
Also how and in what way am I leaning on them? LOL a sale is a sale buddy. Also this "360 Turf" has all of my former 360 gamer friends playing on PC and PS3 with the exception of the 1 diehard fanboy...
I will say that perhaps Xbox is the console for you. Having said that, have you ever considered that it just flat out isn't the right console for most others? Or would would you rather pretend some countries "Don't Count."
