Do you trust your insurance company?
We're talking about business. They provide a service, and try to sell you on it's value. You can decide for yourself if that service seems worthwhile to you. And as for this whole "spying" thing, be it kinect, Skype, your smartphone, or whatever.....in the world we live in, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if government organisations are actually tapped in to just about everything, and can have access to whatever info they want. Thing is though, I'm not that interesting that they will particularly care about anything I do. I doubt you are. I doubt anyone here is. People panic about their privacy so much, but don't even realise how precious little of it you have anyway in today's world. It's an idea. We live in the digital age. Anyone who really wants to access your info can find a way to do so, and it wouldn't even be that much trouble. If your privacy is such a huge issue for you, I suggest you never connect to the internet, throw away every device capable of it, and cut all ties with anyone else who makes use of it. |
And you're assuming that whatever I do in my real life, which you personally know nothing of, isn't illegal or something the government would like to tap into. The mind-boggling thing here is that Kinect, an always on fucking camera will be in your living room, the only way to really turn it off is to unplug it, otherwise you couldn't say "Xbox On" and suddenly it's on, how could you trust a fucking camera being always on in your living room?
My cell phone isn't always on, fuck my cell phone is in my pocket 90% of the time, where the speaker is inaudible and the cameras can't pick up anything outside, I don't have a webcam on my PC, and even if my Internet sites are being monitored, it's y'know, less of a fucking deal than a fucking camera in my bedroom/living room.
You Microsoft fanboys will defend anything, seriously, I have yet to see a Microsoft fanboy acknowledge Microsoft did anything wrong, ever on this site and you guys defending this madness is just the icing on the cake.
