Nah i didnt 100% it.  I beat it and then started trying to collect all the gold coins but got side tracked with other games.

The fact that you didn't 100% the game somewhat explains why you found the game so easy. Obtaining all of the star coins and completing the SuperStar World is part of the challenge.

Considering that I had 90+ lives by the end of the game I disagree. In DKCR and Rayman i died a lot.  Some levels i would die 15+ times.  In Mario it was rare that i even died once.
