I think the problem is when games give you achievement for completing such simply task like doing the tutorial or using a certain weapon, how can that possibly be worth any form of achievement or display any form of skill?

If Nintendo did do an achievement system I think it should based on how rare the achievement is compared to the no. of user of that game, instead of simply just unlocking the achievement in the first place. So if it was out of 100 points, you get 25 points if 75% have got the same achievement. But if only 5% of users have got the same achievement then you get 95 points instead.
